Almond doughnuts recipe

We weren’t joking when we said you can use Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain in everything, even to make these delicious donuts! These delicious almond donuts are just the right amount of sweetness. They taste great with a cup of coffee for breakfast or just for when you’re craving a sweet treat. While you can make them for your family, they’re also a very impressive treat for guests that you can say you made yourself!  Using Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain, you can make these tasty donuts and impress all of your family and friends. But be warned, you may be asked to make them again and again!

Preparation:

  1. Put the eggs, the yolks and the sugar in a mixing bowl. Blend together.
  2. Make a volcano shape on the table with the flour and pour in the above mixture.
  3. Work one half of the mixture in first, then the other. Mix and drizzle with the Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain. 
  4. Take around 40g of the mixture and place it on the hob (the stove top) to give it a doughnut shape. Repeat the process with the rest of the mixture to make all the doughnuts.
  5. Glaze them with the egg and sprinkle with the almond crumbles.
  6. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 220ºC.
  7. Remove the doughnuts from the oven and sprinkle with icing sugar.

  • 250g icing sugar
  • 1 egg for glazing
