The Spanish Olive Oil Interprofessional, with the collaboration of the European Union, is launching the Olive Oil Makes a Tastier World promotional campaign in Europe. It is aimed specifically at markets in Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Over the course of three years, this campaign aims to make European consumers participants in the olive oil culture. To do so, our promotional strategy will focus its efforts on large passenger hubs on the continent. This strategy is based on the conviction that international travelers are much more open to discovering new flavors and are especially interested in healthy eating. Thus, large airports, train stations, and passenger ports will see a massive advertising roll-out. Many of these centers will also feature the Olive Oil Lounge, an experiential space in which passengers can taste extra virgin olive oils, look over reference information, and broaden their knowledge of this key part of the Mediterranean Diet. These actions will be supplemented by inserts in large airlines’ magazines, as well as vinyl wraps for planes, trains, and boats.
